Frank Sippel and David M. Skalish have been promoted to chief engineer positions for three CBS Radio stations in Philadelphia.

Sippel takes the reins at KYW(AM), while Skalish will serve as CE at WOGL(FM) and WPHT(AM). They assume the duties previously managed by Jan Kowalczyk, who retired in October after three decades with Group W, Infinity and CBS Radio.

Sippel had served as staff and transmitter engineer for KYW since 2000. Skalish began his radio career as a studio operator at KYW in 1982, and left in 2000 to join WPHT as technical supervisor.
