CBS Names Seattle Manager

Kevin McCarthy succeeds Lisa Decker

CBS this week named the manager who will replace Lisa Decker to run its Seattle cluster.

Kevin McCarthy was named senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio Seattle. He’ll be in charge of KMPS(FM), KZOK(FM), KJAQ(FM) and KPTK(AM).

The company said he’s been living in the city for seven years and is former market manager for Entercom Communications’ Seattle cluster. More recently he has been a regional sales manager for CityGrid Media and senior director of broadcast sales for HipCricket.

He has worked as an air personality as well as a sales manager in various capacities. CBS said he also brings an “understanding of the local and mobile space.”

He’s former vice president and co-market manager of Clear Channel stations in San Diego and former VP and market manager for Chancellor, Colfax and Trumper Communications in Minneapolis.

Long-time market manager Lisa Decker resigned in April.
