CBS Radio Chooses Forte

Former MSG social strategist moves to radio as senior producer of strategic events and partnerships

Katie Forte has been named senior producer of strategic events and partnerships for CBS Radio, according to Senior Vice President of Strategic Events and Partnerships Amy Stevens. Forte will be based in New York.

In this newly created position, she will play a role in the development and management of signature programs that provide audiences and advertisers with experiences with their favorite artists, sports stars, newsmakers and CBS Radio personalities, a release explained. Additionally, Forte will serve as a liaison with local venues, arenas and CBS Radio’s current roster of partners in the entertainment industry, while cultivating new business relationships and opportunities.

Forte joins CBS Radio from the Madison Square Garden Co., where she was most recently director of concerts marketing, digital and social media. She began her tenure there in 2006 and has been associated with a variety of high-profile events, award shows, concerts and press conferences at The Garden, Theater at MSG, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre. Forte worked with such clients as Chase, Coke, Caesars, Starwood, JBL and SAP on social activations and cross-promotional strategies, as well as created and implemented the company’s consumer social strategy surrounding the reopening of Madison Square Garden.

Prior to the Madison Square Garden Co., Forte was an executive programming and marketing assistant for Clear Channel Radio New York from 2002–2006.
