CBS Radio Chooses Simon for Data Analytics, Political Advocacy

Former Obama campaign analytics chief will guide development of data-driven platforms

CBS Radio says New York-based data analytics entrepreneur Michael Simon will serve as a senior adviser to its data analytics and political advocacy division. He will report to CBS Radio President Andre Fernandez.

Simon will work with senior management on the company’s overall data analytics capabilities and create data-driven ad products and strategies.

“I look forward to helping the division build a sophisticated data platform by which they can help advertisers of all kinds better understand, reach, and connect with this audience,” said Simon.

Simon previously led the Obama presidential campaign’s analytics team and also served in the Obama administration. He is a regular media commentator on big data, politics and business intelligence, as well as guest speaker at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and the World Economic Forum of Young Global Leaders.

Simon is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a J.D. and a bachelor’s degree in political science.
