Starting Monday, CBS Radio will provide regularly scheduled one-minute updates on weekdays at 31 minutes past the hour, from 5:31 a.m. to 9:31 p.m. Eastern Time. The updates will consist of a report on the “most interesting, most provocative or lead story” of the hour.
Harvey Nagler, CBS News VP for radio, said, “This increase in programming is in response to our affiliates.” He said clients want more product because of the threat of terrorism and fighting in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
Affiliates will be advised at 10 minutes past the hour as to the subject matter of the updates.
