CBS Revives ‘CBS Records’

CBS Corporation is reviving the name “CBS Records” for a new music label to distribute new music on its television programs.
The company plans to make songs, music videos and other music-related content from CBS Records available for purchase and download at the iTunes Store.
The original CBS Records launched in 1938. In CBS Records was acquired by Sony, and its assets were integrated into Sony Music Entertainment a few years later.
