WRVE(FM), the River, and WGY(AM/FM), Clear Channel-owned stations in Albany, N.Y., teamed up to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
The 16th annual Cares for Kids Radiothon, a 30-hour event broadcast from the Albany Medical Center, May 1–2, raised over $648,000.
WRVE Program Director Randy McCarten said, “During the Cares for Kids Radiothon, we again shared their amazing stories of treatment, and our listeners responded in a big way to support the Children’s Hospital.”
The hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network affiliate, treats children regardless of their ability to pay for treatment.
