CC Monterey Names Lynch Market Manager

Announces more programming changes

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Monterey/Salinas, Calif., says Bill Lynch has been named market manager, effective immediately.

Lynch has more than 15 years of experience in the radio industry. He joins Clear Channel Monterey from Momentum Broadcasting, where he served as general manager since 2012. He previously served as GM at Buckley Broadcasting, covering the Fresno and Visalia, Calif., metro areas. Lynch also held previous positions at Susquehanna Broadcasting, Clear Channel, CBS Radio and Entercom.

Clear Channel Monterey owns and operates KTOM(FM), KPRC(FM), KDON(FM), KOCN(FM) and KION(AM).

Clear Channel St. Louis says local on-air personalities Mason and Remy have extended their contracts with the company. The duo host mornings on KLOU(FM) from 6–9 a.m. and afternoons on KSD(FM) from 2–7 p.m.

Mason and Remy first started with Clear Channel St. Louis in 2004.

Clear Channel St. Louis owns and operates KSLZ(FM), KMJM(FM), KLOU(FM), KSD(FM), KATZ(AM) and KBWX(FM).

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Portsmouth, N.H., has reformatted WSKX(FM) as 95.3 The Bull, the “Seacoast’s New Hit Country.”

The Bull will feature morning program “The Bobby Bones Show” beginning Sept. 2, from 6–11 a.m. The station’s programming will also include local news, weather and traffic, with a team of local personalities.

Clear Channel Portsmouth owns and operates WGIR(FM), WERZ(FM), WHEB(FM), WMYF(AM), WPKX(AM), WGIR(AM), WQSO(FM) and WSKX.

Down the road in another corral, WBWL(FM) 101.7 The Bull, Boston’s New Hit Country, has chosen Jessica Callahan as its new afternoon drive host, beginning Sept. 9. She will host weekdays from 2–7 p.m.

Recently, Callahan has served as midday on-air personality at WXXX(FM), in Burlington, Vt., and additionally was voice-tracking middays at WHYA(FM) in Hyannis, Mass.
