Clear Channel Media and Entertainment New Orleans has named Nicky Sparrow director of sales. She will oversee all sales operations for the eight-station cluster.
Sparrow started her radio career 15 years ago and has managed more than 20 radio stations in four markets. She joined Clear Channel in 1999 and has served in a variety of sales positions, including account executive, local sales manager and general sales manager. In 2005, Sparrow was named general sales manager for Tallahassee, Fla., and in 2006 she was named director of sales.

She will join the New Orleans market from Clear Channel Memphis, where she previously served as director of sales. Sparrow will also continue to serve as a member of Clear Channel’s Sales Operations Center’s development team for the food and beverage sector.
Clear Channel New Orleans owns and operates KVDU(FM), WNOE(FM), WQUE(FM), WRNO(FM), WYLD(AM), WYLD(FM) and KISS(FM).
Clear Channel Ft. Myers also said its Regional Market Manager Sherri Griswold has been named chairman of the Florida Association of Broadcasters. She is the fourth woman named chairman and officially began her role at a ceremony last night.
The FAB lobbies and focuses on Florida-specific issues in broadcasting as well as supports the efforts of the National Association of Broadcasters in Washington. As chairman, Griswold will lead the executive committee, which represents the board of directors.
“I am honored to be one of four woman that has held this role over the last 80 years, and I have much respect for the chairman that I am following including most recently Art Rowbotham and Claudia Puig,” said Griswold.
