Ken Charles
Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Sacramento has promoted Ken Charles to vice president of programming for the Sacramento, Calif. cluster. Charles will oversee programming for KHLX(FM), KFBK(AM/FM), KSTE(AM), KHYL(FM) and KQJK(FM), and will also continue as national brand coordinator for news talk and sports.
Charles began his radio career in 1995 as director of programming and news for WSYR(FM) and WHEN(AM) in Syracuse, N.Y. In 1998, he joined Clear Channel and was named director of programming for WGST(AM) and the Georgia News Network in Atlanta. He has also served as regional vice president of programming for Clear Channel Texas, operations manager for Clear Channel Houston and director of programming for KTRH(AM), KPRC(AM) and KBME(AM) and director of programming for Clear Channel Miami’s WIOD(AM) and WINZ(AM).
Chris Daly
Clear Channel Dallas has also named Chris Daly as its new vice president of sales. Daly will be responsible for advertising, brand partnerships and sales operations for the station cluster including KZPS(FM), KEGL(FM), KDGE(FM), KDMX(FM) and KHKS(FM).
Daly has spent 19 years of his career working in the Dallas/Ft. Worth market.
Daly comes to Clear Channel Dallas from KDAF(TV), where he has served as a local sales manager since 1997, following two years as a regional sales manager. He has also served as an account executive with Fox Broadcasting and held sales positions with Katz Communications and KXII(TV).
