CDR310 Portable Pro CD Recorder Is Shipping

Marantz Professional said it is shipping its CDR310 Professional CD Recorder.
The unit is aimed at broadcast, government agencies, law enforcement, boardrooms and system installers. It is part of the company’s Portable Digital Recorder line and offers uncompressed and MP3 formats, as well as optional battery operation for up to four hours.
Features include mic preamps with XLR connectors and 48V phantom power, built-in mic and the ability to finish the final project to the built-in CD burner.
The burner can create audio discs for playback on CD players, or data discs for transfer to a computer or for archiving. Battery power is from AA cells or an optional RB1651 rechargeable.
Features include Background Record Mode, which enables recording to always be active, as an ongoing backup, even when the unit is in Pause Mode. Recording can also be active in Pre-Record Mode for up to 10 seconds with the recorder stopped. Analog line-level inputs and outputs and S/PDIF-format digital inputs and outputs are provided.
Retail is $1,049.
