The Consumer Electronics Association and Cox Enterprises, parent of Cox Media Group, have donated funds to the American Red Cross to help Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
The organizations said their $50,000 and $100,000 respective donations will help offset costs of supplies, food, shelter and other assistance for the communities impacted by the storm.
Cox’s impacted employees can also receive support through the Cox Employee Relief Fund. Created after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the fund provides assistance to Cox employees and their families who are impacted by disasters. CERF has provided more than $3 million to assist more than 1,500 employees affected by hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and other devastating events.
