The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) formed an International Advisory Committee to help guide the association regarding ongoing CEA initiatives related to international matters.
Some 15 industry representatives will be on the committee; so far, companies represented include Sony, Panasonic, Philips, the Harmon Consumer Group and Fry’s Electronics.
“The consumer technology industry continues to expand on a global level, with worldwide consumer electronics sales currently topping US$618 billion,” stated Elizabeth Hyman, vice president, international for CEA. “By organizing the International Advisory Committee, CEA is in a better position to address international issues confronting the U.S. consumer electronics industry, including the vitally important issue of free trade.”
