CES Topped 152,000

The Consumer Electronics Association says its January show drew more than 152,000 attendees. The trade association says those numbers, verified by an audit from Veris Consulting, make the International CES the world’s largest trade show for consumer technology.
Attendance increased 4.3% this year. With the addition of the Sands Expo and Convention Center, 2,700 CES exhibitors displayed product in 1.69 million square feet of space.
This year 6,849 engineers, 18,650 retail buyers and 3,180 venture capitalists and business developers attended CES, along with more than 8,500 attendees from the content, broadcast, film and software development/publishing industries.
Radio World was among 4,500 media registrants covering the show.
