What topics in consumer electronics are hot, or will be in the coming year?
You can get a good idea by looking at the open invitation sent out by the Consumer Electronics Association seeking speakers at next winter’s International CES convention.
Judging from that announcement, we’ll be hearing more about mobile payment technologies; the impact of 4G; where tablets are going next; the “consumerization” of IT; how smartphones have affected the world of cameras; and the mundane, but always relevant, topic of how to extend device battery life.
And not to overlook a biggie for radio: the subject of online access in cars.
Speaker proposals will be accepted through early July. Proposals are taken online at cesweb.org/cfs.
