Change at the Top for Nautel

Kevin Rodgers is new president/CEO as Peter Conlon steps down

Kevin Rodgers is now president and chief executive officer for transmission products company Nautel.

The company announced that the 29-year Nautel employee replaces Peter Conlon, who has stepped down after eight years in the role.

It was Conlon’s decision to leave, and he informed company employees of his decision today, a spokesman for Nautel told Radio World. Conlon has been named CEO for LED Roadway Lighting Ltd. in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The appointment of Rodgers, right, takes effect immediately. He has been a member of Nautel’s board of directors for 19+ years and the company characterizes him as a “major shareholder.” Rodgers most recently was director of customer service and chairman of the board at the company.

“Our customers have been the driving force in our product development and industry-leading support programs,” said Rodgers. “We have no plans to change our key strategy, which is to listen to what our customers tell us and implement their best ideas throughout our company.”

Rodgers said Nautel is grateful to Conlon for his significant contributions to Nautel. “We wish Peter the best in his future pursuits,” said Rodgers. “Over the past eight years, Peter’s management has helped position Nautel as one of the top manufacturers of broadcast solutions worldwide. His contributions have set the stage for our next period of growth. Our customers and partners can continue to expect only the best from Nautel.”

Rodgers leads the Nautel User Group meetings at trade shows and plans to attend the upcoming Radio Show.
