Changes for NPR Digital Services

Zach Brand will take on Bob Kempf’s portfolio upon his departure

At the end of September, Vice President for Digital Media Zach Brand will add Digital Services to his portfolio, National Public Radio Media Relations Director Isabel Lara told Radio World.

Brand joined the public radio broadcaster in 2007 and was named to his current role in 2012.

Lara described Brand’s work as having “established a vision and path for innovation and our digital strategy” at NPR.

He will take on the additional duties after Bob Kempf heads to his new role as VP of Digital Services for Boston’s WGBH, Current reported.

“His strong partnership with Bob Kempf over the past several years ensures that, together with the entire D.S. team, service to member stations will continue uninterrupted,” Lara said in an email.
