Chi Town Gets New CBS Radio SVP, Market Manager

Pohlman will manage operations for the market’s stations

CBS Radio Phoenix’s Tim Pohlman has been named senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio’s operations in Chicago, according to CBS Radio Chief Operating Officer Scott Herman.

Pohlman will manage all operations for the market’s stations, including WBBM(AM), WCFS(FM), WBBM(FM), WJMK(FM), WSCR(AM), WUSN(FM) and WXRT(FM). His replacement in Phoenix has not yet been announced.

He will report to Herman, and he succeeds Rod Zimmerman, who has been in the post since 2003 and is stepping down from his position to pursue other opportunities. Pohlman has served as the SVP and market manager of CBS Radio Phoenix for the past six years.

Prior to returning to CBS Radio in December 2009, Pohlman was managing partner and CEO of Riviera Broadcast Group, where he oversaw four FM properties in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

He previously held various positions at CBS Radio Los Angeles including market manager of the cluster, VP/general manager of KTWV(FM), and director of sales for KFWB(AM) and KTWV.

Pohlman has also worked as the director of sales for former Group W stations WCXR(FM) and WCPT(AM) in Washington; and he held various positions at WWMG(FM) in Charlotte, N.C.; WFOX(FM) in Atlanta; and WHIO(AM/FM) in Dayton, Ohio.
