Hunan Broadcasting has seven FM radio stations serving Hunan Province with an estimated population of 100 million. Its 57 kW FM station in Changsha is broadcasting regular FM programming simultaneously with two FMeXtra digital channels of stereo quality programming, according to DRE.

DRE recently announced an alliance with TCL, a major Chinese consumer electronics group, as reported here at the time. The company said that deal “provides the foundation to bring FMeXtra to a large number of China’s radio stations in the coming months.”
