Chris Berry New WMAL President/GM

Former Vice President, ABC News Radio Chris Berry has been appointed President/GM of O&O WMAL(AM), Washington. In his previous position, has been responsible for domestic and international news, sports and information programming produced for the ABC Radio Networks. Since 1999, he has also been responsible for Paul Harvey broadcasts distributed to more than 1,200 U.S. radio stations. Berry will continue his oversight of the Harvey programs in addition to his new role at WMAL.
Prior to joining ABC News in 1996, Berry spent 14 years at CBS Radio, beginning at KNX Newsradio, Los Angeles. In 1986-87 he was assigned to the CBS News Bureau in Washington as Executive Producer, CBS Radio. From Washington, he moved to Chicago where he served as Director of News and Programming at WBBM Newsradio. Berry began his broadcast career as a producer at WHBQ-TV in Memphis.
