Pain was the name of the game this week with cuts at Citadel.
For instance the “bloodbath” at WLS(AM) was covered by the Chicago Tribune, which said the moves came “during one of the biggest advertising downturns in radio history.”
The OC Register reported on cuts at KABC and KLOS (including Larry Reed in engineering).

Citadel this week appointed Randy L. Taylor as its permanent CFO. In January, AP reported, the company said Robert G. Freedline would resign at the end of that month. Taylor, former VP of finance and principal accounting officer, was named acting CFO and senior vice president then.
Last week the firm reported a quarterly loss of $848 million, according to AP.
