Reuters reports that Clear Channel has struck an exclusive deal to use Google’s search engine on its radio station Web sites, citing an internal memo.
“Beginning this month, the company’s 7 million Clear Channel radio listeners who visit their Web sites will be able to make Google searches directly from Clear Channel’s sites,” Reuters reported, saying the broadcaster declined comment.
“Clear Channel is also deploying Google’s paid search service that serves up advertising based on search terms. In the near future, the company also plans to display sponsored links from Google that will appear at the bottom of news articles across Clear Channel’s sites.”
