Clear Channel Announces Jingle Ball Tour

Dozen cities, CW network TV special, donations to Seacrest Foundation and Kidd’s Kids

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has announced its “Jingle Ball” Christmas season concert plans. Officially it is the “iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2013 Tour.”

This year there will be Jingle Ball concerts in a dozen cities, hosted by local Clear Channel stations and sponsored by various local businesses. The cities scheduled, in tour order and starting with the Dec. 2 opener in Dallas, include: Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, New York, Boston, Washington, Tampa and Miami. Miami’s show is Dec. 20.

Acts appearing at one or more stops include: Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Enrique Iglesias, Demi Lovato, Fall Out Boy, Avril Livigne, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pitbull, Chris Brown, Austin Mahone, Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande, Travie McCoy and Icona Pop. More will be announced.

President of Entertainment Enterprises at Clear Channel John Sykes said, “For the first time ever, this year the Jingle Ball will be a nationally televised broadcast music event as the CW Network will air a special two hour presentation on Dec. 18 at 8 p.m.”

The Ryan Seacrest Foundation will be the beneficiary of $1.00 per ticket in several cities while in Dallas, the donation will go to Kidd’s Kids in memory of Kidd Kraddick.

The first Jingle Ball was presented by New York’s WHTZ(FM), Z100, in 1996.
