Clear Channel Country Helps St. Jude

Country format stations raise $3 million for the hospital

The late February two-day Country Cares radiothon by Clear Channel Media and Entertainment’s country format stations collected $3 million for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The nationally-syndicated “The Bobby Bones Show” led the way by reaching out in multiple markets. The show, as does other Clear Channel properties, raise money for the hospital at other times throughout the year. Last year Clear Channel stations raised over $6.7 million for St. Jude and looks to top that figure this year.

EVP/GM National Programming Platforms Clay Hunnicutt said, “For the past 25 years Clear Channel’s country stations have rallied together to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for St. Jude through the Country cares program.”
