Clear Channel Digital Names CMO

Bob Stohrer in charge of marketing plans, emphasis on iHeartRadio

Clear Channel has named Bob Stohrer the new chief marketing officer of Clear Channel Digital. He will report to Brian Lakamp.

Stohrer will be tasked with guiding Clear Channel Digital’s creative development and act as the force behind strategic advertising initiatives. He also will oversee marketing and branding efforts with an emphasis on the iHeartRadio radio content aggregator.

He joins Clear Channel Digital from Sprint Nextel, where he was vice president of corporate marketing. His major undertakings involved overseeing a prepaid multi-brand strategy following the acquisition of Virgin Mobile USA, as well as marketing efforts for the Virgin and Boost Mobile brands including brand strategy, online marketing and retail merchandising.

Stohrer is former CMO for Virgin Mobile USA and acted as NFL Properties’ vice president and creative director, leading design efforts and promotional campaigns.
