To assist New Orleans public schools create “Signature Schools” devoted to specialized education in various fields, Clear Channel said it will donate studio equipment and other station supplies to the New Orleans School of Media Arts and Communications, scheduled to open this fall.
NOSMAC will specialize in courses on broadcasting, print and Web development for students interested in those topics. Classes will be taught by teachers and professionals in the fields.
The Clear Channel stations involved are WQUE(FM) and WYLD(FM).
