Clear Channel Gets Hip in Tampa Bay

Clear Channel said its new format on WSSR(FM) “The Beat” is underway. It said Tampa Bay was the only top 25 market lacking a full-signal FM urban contemporary station.
In addition to current hip hop and R&B, the station will air hits from “back in the day,” the company stated.
