Clear Channel Grows Podcast Offerings

Clear Channel Radio is expanding its portfolio of podcast feeds; it will include customized content from 12 of its stations.
Following its “Phone Tap” podcast launch on New York’s WHTZ(FM) less than two weeks ago, more than 20,000 pieces of content have been delivered via podcast, download or stream from the Z-100 site.
Evan Harrison, executive vice president of Clear Channel Radio and head of the company’s Online Music & Radio unit, said there’s a “huge appetite for station-created, short-form content via multiple-delivery formats.”
Clear Channel stations that feature podcast feeds on their Web sites are WAXQ(FM) and WKTU(FM) in New York; KYSR(FM) Los Angeles; KGB(FM), KHTS(FM) and KIOZ(FM) in San Diego; KKRZ(FM), Portland, Ore.; WLW(AM), Cincinnati; KRZR(FM), Fresno, Calif.; WDVE(FM), Pittsburgh and WZZO(FM), Allentown, Pa.
