Clear Channel Radio’s Nashville cluster teamed up for a radiothon to raise money to help out victims of the massive flooding through central Tennessee and southern Kentucky. The flooded area included Nashville.
Aiding Clear Channel was Fifth Third Bank, Logan’s Road House, Security Solutions and the Clear Channel Foundation. Money raised in the Clear Channel Cares campaign is for the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
As of press time more than $240,000 had been raised with much more expected to flow in afterwards. Donations were taken via phone and Web. All of the stations’ Web pages are running banner ads asking for donations along with providing pictures of the flood and information about it.
The stations in the cluster are WLAC(AM), WNRQ(FM), WRVW(FM), WUBT(FM) and WSIX(FM).
