Clear Channel Worldwide’s outdoor advertising division hopes to improve its business by employing marketing data offered by Arbitron Inc. Clear Channel has hired Arbitron to provide local marketing consumer information and software in all the markets where Clear Channel Outdoor has billboards.
Arbitron will supply information such as consumer profiles of people exposed to outdoor advertising, like the demographics of local driving and pedestrian patterns, and software that will help process the data and training for sales staff.
Clear Channel hopes to use the information to give its salespeople data to show advertisers and agencies why they should publicize their products through the company.
