Clear Channel Communications has received The Trevor Hope Award from The Trevor Project.
It’s a non-profit organization that operates a suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth.
The award honors a company or organization that, through its policies, initiatives and other efforts, demonstrates a commitment to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender causes, and is a public example of corporate acceptance of individuals regardless of sexual orientation.
“Clear Channel’s support of the [LGBT] community is multifaceted, including its ranking as a ‘best place to work’ for LGBT employees by the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index,” the project’s executive director stated.
