Clear Channel Radio Says It Gave $845 Million in Airtime and Fundraising

Clear Channel puts the value of its corporate giving at more than $1 billion for 2005. Helping it reach that figure was $664 million in airtime donated for radio PSAs.
The company announced the figures in a press release, including a headline stating that the amount “Represents Greatest One-Year Total in Company’s Rich History of Philanthropy.”
It broke down the giving as follows: radio contributed more than $845 million, television contributed $61 million, outdoor contributed $80 million and Clear Channel International Radio more than $41 million.
Analyzing radio contributions further, the company said radio contributions of $845 million including $664 million in PSA time, $121.7 million in fundraising efforts and $59.4 million in relief efforts after natural disasters.
