Clear Channel Satellite Services released the X-Digital XDS-PRO4-SG satellite receiver, designed to support and operate on the StarGuide or X-Digital XDS DVB-S broadcast carriers, a major artery for syndication in the radio market, according to the company.
X-Digital says it has enhanced its product offering to encompass the traditional StarGuide platform through its recent acquisition of StarGuide assets. “By partnering with Clear Channel Satellite Services for distribution and shared hub solutions, we aim to provide the industry comprehensive support, service and equipment,” said Ian Lerner, president of X-Digital.
“The XDS-PRO4-SG satellite receivers developed on the PRO line product line from X-Digital over the last year allow a jump in technology from the StarGuide III receivers presently in use,” said Don Harms, president of Clear Channel Satellite Services. “This new receiver is a form, fit and function receiver for our networks, allowing clients to continue with the growth of their networks already in place on the StarGuide broadcast carrier.
“The receiver also will support the XDS DVB-S broadcast carrier, allowing clients a transitional bridge when store and forward, copy split and record playback features may be [needed],” he said.
