Richard J. Bressler
CC Media Holdings Inc., has selected Richard J. Bressler as the new president and chief financial officer of CC Media Holdings Inc., and Clear Channel Communications Inc., and chief financial officer of Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. He will report to Chairman and CEO Robert Pittman.
Bressler has previously served as chief financial officer of Time Warner and Viacom and managing director at Thomas H. Lee Partners.
As a member of Thomas H. Lee Partners, one of the two private equity firms that completed an acquisition of Clear Channel in 2008, Bressler has been a director of CC Media Holdings and Clear Channel Communications since then, positions he will continue to hold, and he has been involved as a member of the CC Media Holdings board’s operating committee.
As president of CC Media Holdings, Inc. and Clear Channel Communications Inc., Bressler will work with Pittman on the development of strategies and initiatives to ensure the company capitalizes on its assets. Bressler will succeed Tom Casey as CFO.
Bressler was the senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of Viacom Inc., from 2001 through 2005. He also served as chairman and CEO of Time Warner Digital Media, and was executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer of Time Warner, Inc. from 1995 to 1999.
Also, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Lima/Marion has chosen Matt Bell as market manager, effective August 15.
According to a release, he will be responsible for strategies, programming and sales initiatives for the cluster. He will oversee station activities and events to help drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
Bell started his radio career in Lima, Ohio, as an account executive at WIMA(AM) in October 2005 and was promoted to local sales manager for WIMA and WZRX(FM) in 2006. In 2007, he was named director of sales for Lima and Findlay, Ohio, later adding Marion, Ohio. In 2012 Bell, joined the Columbus, Ohio, market as general sales manager of WCGX(FM) and WNCI(FM).
Clear Channel Lima/Marion owns and operates WMRN(AM/FM) and WYNT(FM) in Marion, as well as WIMT(FM), WMLX(FM), WZRX(FM), WBKS(FM) and WIMA in Lima.
