Clear Channel Signs Black River

Independent Nashville label reps Kellie Pickler, Craig Morgan

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has signed another record label to an airplay/revenue sharing deal.

Black River Entertainment, based in Nashville, is the latest partner to sign up. Black River reps artists such as Kellie Pickler, Craig Morgan, Glen Templeton and it also owns recording studios including Sound Stage and Ronnie’s Place.

Clear Channel CEO Bob Pittman said, “Clear Channel is delighted to work together with Black River artists, helping lead the way to a sustainable digital music industry that benefits everyone — artists, fans, record labels, and broadcasters.”

Clear Channel recently signed a similar deal with Warner Music Group and has signed similar deals with many smaller labels such as Suburban Noize Records
