Clear Channel Starts Emergency Campaign

September is National Emergency Preparedness Month

Responding to National Emergency Preparedness Month, Clear Channel Radio has recorded and will be airing a series of PSAs designed to educate listeners about emergency preparedness.

Many of the PSAs are regional in flavor, aimed at highlighting prospective disasters in a particular area such as hurricanes for coastal regions, forest fires in forested areas and earthquakes in earthquake zones.

The campaign started on Sept. 1.

According to a press release announcing the campaign: “The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness of the need to plan and be prepared for disasters that could cost listeners their homes, family members and pets. The PSAs underscore the importance of having food, water, batteries, important documents, insurance and all the information they need to minimize the inconvenience and damage from a threatening storm, fire, flood or other disaster.”
