Clear Channel Taps Kaminsky for EVP of Operations for Digital Division

Stewart named regional programming manager, Melbourne adds Davis to team

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has added digital media executive Brian Kaminsky to the company’s digital division as executive vice president of operations. He joins Clear Channel from The Huffington Post, will report to President of Digital Brian Lakamp.

From his office in New York City, Kaminsky will oversee digital advertising operations, customer support, product analytics and partner operations across iHeartRadio and Clear Channel’s network of station websites. His responsibilities will also include setting best practices for digital ad inventory and working with sales and product teams to define and develop new ad products.

Kaminsky, who has spent 17 years working with big brands and startups, served as the chief operating officer and general manager of The Huffington Post, where he led business operations, advertising products and business development.

After AOL acquired The Huffington Post in 2011, Kaminsky spearheaded the integration of the two operations and helped oversee the tripling of The Huffington Post’s revenue and users.

According to a release, prior to The Huffington Post, Kaminsky was vice president of Global Revenue Operations at Reuters Media, where he supervised yield management systems for desktop, video, mobile and digital out-of-home advertising products. He has also served as director of Operations and business manager for the Eastern Region at Yahoo!, which tripled its revenues under his leadership.

In another Clear Channel appointment, Steve Stewart has been named regional programming manager for the Wichita, Kan., St. Louis and Springfield, Mo. markets. Stewart will report to Market President and Regional Market Manager Beth Davis.

He will lead multimedia programming across the region to ensure consistent deployment of best practices, including building and developing regional teams.

Tom Davis

Stewart, who recently celebrated his 25-year anniversary in the broadcast industry, has experience as an on-air talent on Clear Channel’s WPKX(FM) in Springfield, Mass. and WKCI(FM) in New Haven, Conn. He also previously served as a regional manager in Grand Rapids, Mich.; Providence, R.I.; and Myrtle Beach, Va. He has also served as program director for KSD(FM) 93.7 The Bull and midday host on KLOU(FM) Oldies 103.3 in St. Louis.

Down in Florida, Clear Channel Melbourne, which consists of WMMB(AM), WLRQ(FM) and WFKS(FM), has named Tom Davis vice president and market manager.

Davis has two decades of media experience and is moving to Melbourne, Fla., from Charlotte, N.C., where he served as general manager of a NASCAR race team since 2010. He previously worked in radio and TV as an account executive, general sales manager, director of sales, vice president and market manager in the Las Vegas market. Davis has worked with broadcast companies, including Centennial Broadcasting, Beasley Broadcast Group and Cox Media
