Clear Channel to Share 9/11 Programming

At 8:44 AM Eastern on Sept. 11, 2002 Clear Channel radio stations throughout the United States will air a special, two-minute audio montage honoring the victims and heroes of last year’s Attack on America. At 8:46 AM Eastern the stations will pause for silence. Clear Channel radio will then broadcast a message from President George W. Bush.
Clear Channel is offering the special two-minute audio montage as well as the statement from President Bush to the radio industry and American public. The audio file is available at www.clearchannel.com. Clear Channel Radio will offer local 9/11 programming throughout the day as determined by local market management. Additionally, Premiere Radio Networks will provide several commercial free specials, including a one-hour Glenn Beck program and a three-hour news special with Gil Gross.
