Clear Channel TTN Expands Mexican Presence

Deal ‘plays well into our international development strategy’

Mexico City is the location of a recent business partnership involving Clear Channel Radio’s Total Traffic Network.

The data provider is offering traffic info to that city’s information and service providers. “Total Traffic Network, in association with Grupo Acir Radio in Mexico, has built out the capability to deliver traffic incidents and flow data to support an array of RDS-TMC enabled devices and is supporting a mobile application on the country’s largest carrier,” it stated.

Grupo Acir has traffic monitoring resources; TTN brings expertise in data sourcing, organization, preparation and delivery. The announcement was made by CCTTN’s Lance Locher and Grupo Acir Radio’s Antonio Ibarra.

Locher said in the announcement that “tailoring our resources for mobile applications and RDS-TMC enabled devices are key extensions of the TTN brand.” He called TTN “platform-agnostic,” saying Clear Channel works with multiple transmission networks to serve motorists.

He added that the move “plays well into our international development strategy.”
