Clear Channel Media and Entertainment has released version 5.0 of its iHeartRadio app for iOS and Android mobile devices.
The company is highlighting new algorithms for iHeartRadio 5.0. The star is called “For You,” which is supposed to enhance choosing preferred music.
In addition, 5.0 has a “sleeker, more beautiful and intuitive GUI,” a release said. It also has improved search functions.
Clear Channel President of Digital Brian Lakamp said, “We’ve been working diligently to personalize iHeartRadio and give our listeners more of the artists, the music and the kind of listening experience they want. IHeartRadio 5.0 accomplishes that by introducing recommendations, more intelligent design and a better user experience overall.”
The app is immediately available for Android devices. The company says an app for Apple iOS devices should be available next week.
