Media systems integrator Media Group International has installed VidiGo Visual Radio software at Tanzania’s Clouds FM. The new software will go live on air at Clouds FM within the next few weeks, bringing a new interactive experience to listeners.
Clouds FM is one of four stations operated by Clouds Media Group and is annually rated number one by the country’s youth.
“Given this demographic, the station wanted to incorporate interactive graphics that could be overlaid onto the video feed of its radio broadcasts and used to enhance its Internet presence and Twitter, RSS and social media feeds,” said MGI Sales Director Paul Wallis.
Virtual Radio includes VidiGo Live and VidiGo Audio Director. VidiGo Live is a software solution for multicamera TV production, and the VidiGo Audio Director makes automatic decisions by analyzing audio signals via algorithms. In VidiGo Live, the graphics and text overlays are also automatically inserted, enabling live content to be superimposed using a Flash application.
“The system is incredibly easy to operate and, because the cameras are switched automatically on the basis of which microphone input is being used, there is very little for our presenters to do,” said Clouds Media Group Managing Director Joseph Cusago.
