Christiane Amanpour, CNN’s chief international correspondent, has been named recipient of the Paul White Award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association.
RTNDA will honor Amanpour on April 16 at RTNDA@NAB in Las Vegas.
In addition to receiving a 2002 Edward R. Murrow Award from RTNDA, Amanpour has won nine Emmy awards, including one for her documentary “Struggle for Islam,” and the Sigma Chi Award for her reports from Goma, Zaire. She has received two George Polk Awards and two George Foster Peabody Awards and is credited with helping CNN win a duPont Award for its coverage of Bosnia and a Golden CableACE award for its coverage of the Gulf War.
