College Broadcasters Inc., the national college radio/TV broadcasting and webcasting group, will hold its spring conference March 13–15 at the Marriott Marquis in New York. The conference is held in association with the Collegiate Media Advisors.
Some 30 sessions are scheduled on topics like practical program production tips, license renewal, managing relations with the sponsoring university, social media and Web tactics.
Speakers will include local talent from New York radio and TV stations as well as CNN, ABC News, NBC, Bloomberg and “Good Morning America.”
There is an early bird registration discount. Registration starts at $100 before Feb. 9. The CBI’s fall convention will be held in Orlando, Fla., in late October at the National College Media Convention.
