The FCC has voted to bring new or improved noncom FM broadcast service to 76 communities.
The agency said the action represents a step toward opening the first filing window ever for new NCE FM station applications in the fall.
The order passed by commissioners evaluates approximately 200 applications for new or modified NCE FM station CPs.
