FCC Commissioner Kevin Martin is losing a staffer to the White House. Martin stated that his special assistant for legislative and public affairs, Emily Willeford, would join the White House staff. Willeford has served as special assistant to Commissioner Martin since November of 2001. Prior to joining Commissioner Martin’s staff, Willeford served in the White House as an assistant to the deputy director of the National Economic Council. Prior to working in the White House, Willeford was a legal assistant for the Bush presidential campaign in Austin, Texas.
