FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein is scheduled to participate in two events on Dec. 1 as part of the I Rock the Mic Conference and Awards.
The first is an invitation-only, closed-door roundtable discussion with urban radio station owners, executive management and those interested in station ownership. The roundtable discussion will give those in attendance an opportunity to converse with the commissioner on minority ownership initiatives and other recent issues effecting urban radio.
Adelstein will also serve as a panelist for the Community Town Hall Luncheon, “Decency in Radio: The Parameters of Entertainment; Whose Responsibility Is It?” The discussion will be moderated by ABC Radio Networks syndicated personality Doug Banks of “The Doug Banks Show” and features Doc Wynter, senior vice president of urban programming for Clear Channel Radio, and Nate Bell, program director for WMIB(FM) in Miami.
IRTM will be held Nov. 30–Dec. 2 in Miami at the Conrad Hotel.
