FCC Commissioners Kevin Martin and Jonathan Adelstein will discuss the regulatory issues facing broadcasters during the FCC Breakfast at The NAB Radio Show Oct. 7 in San Diego.
Martin joined the commission on July 3, 2001. In addition to his duties as commissioner, he serves as the chair of both the Federal-State Joint Board on Separations and the Federal-State Joint Conference on Advanced Telecommunications Services, and is a member of the Federal-State Joint board on Universal Service.
Jonathan Adelstein was sworn in as a member of the FCC on Dec. 3, 2002. Before joining the FCC, Adelstein served for 15 years as a staff member in the U.S. Senate. For seven years, he was a senior legislative aide to Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., where he advised Sen. Daschle on telecommunications, financial services, transportation and other issues.
