Community Broadcasters Sign Up With Web Alliance

The Webcaster Alliance said the National Federation of Community Broadcasters has joined its organization.
The NFCB has approximately 200 stations, producers and others involved in noncommercial community radio. It promotes projects including a National Youth Radio in Training Project; low-power FM and a Rural Programming Initiative.

“We have major problems with the kind of royalty payments that the RIAA is demanding of some of our members,” Pierson said in a statement. “We look forward to working together with the Webcaster Alliance to address these issues.”
