ABC News Radio’s National Correspondent Ann Compton is now president of the White House Correspondent’s Association. She will begin serving in 2007.
Compton is the first woman assigned by a network television news organization to cover the White House on a full-time basis, according to ABC. In her role as president, she will lead the WHCA in representing the White House press corps in its relationship with the administration on coverage-related issues.
