Comrex is in new facilities in Devens, Mass., not far from Boston. The company, which makes codecs and related gear for remote audio use, had outgrown its offices in Acton, Mass., and could not easily add on to that building. The new building, which Comrex owns, is on the grounds of the former Ft. Devens military base, which has been converted into an industrial park, residential area and technology park. The new building has approximately twice the space of the old.
“This location is closer to the majority of our employees, thereby reducing their commute,” said Kris Bobo. The company threw a party this weekend attended by employees, customers and vendors who came from as far away as Washington state. Its toll-free number does not change. The new main number is (978) 784-1776 and new fax is (978) 784-1717. Test-line numbers could not be call-forwarded. To test a codec, users need new numbers that are available at www.comrex.com.
